SI Baltic Sea Neighbourhood Programme Project “Digital Innovation and Artistic Collaboration Across the Baltic Sea and its Neighbourhood (DigiArt)

Creativity Lab participates in the implementation of the SI Baltic Sea Neighbourhood Programme project “Digital Innovation and Artistic Collaboration Across the Baltic Sea and its Neighbourhood (DigiArt)”, which aims to strengthen digital collaboration in the cultural and creative sectors by developing a prototype of a transnational digital platform for artistic co-creation, learning, and knowledge exchange.

The project brings together partners from Sweden, Latvia, and Georgia to jointly explore innovative digital methods and create new tools that support cross-border artistic collaboration. Through an interdisciplinary approach, the partnership combines expertise in contemporary performing arts, digital innovation, and cultural development to address the lack of accessible, artist-driven digital infrastructures in the region.

Based on co-creation processes, Creativity Lab is responsible for leading the development of the platform prototype, organizing hackathons, and applying open innovation methodologies that ensure the platform is user-centred, inclusive, and adaptable to the needs of artists, cultural professionals, and students.

The project includes a structured process of needs analysis, prototype development, testing, and stakeholder consultations, as well as the creation of new regional partnerships and the preparation of follow-up funding applications for the next phase of platform development.

“DigiArt” will be implemented from 2025 to 2026, laying the groundwork for long-term cooperation and future large-scale international initiatives aimed at digital transformation in the arts.

Total project budget is 500 000 SEK (~45 500 EUR).
